LINEAGE DAY

Family System • Breath • Belonging

Day retreats to explore the
threads of your family system.

THE INVITATION

Lineage Day is a one-day in-person gathering held in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, exploring the invisible threads that live within
the family system.

Depending on the time of year, the focus may be The Mother Line, The Father Line, the Grandparent Line, or those who have been excluded, forgotten, silenced, lost, or left outside the family story.

This work is rooted in the understanding that we are not separate from those who came before us. We arrive through a family system that carries love, grief, rupture, survival, protection, silence, and belonging.

Sometimes what we carry is not only personal.

We may find ourselves repeating patterns that began before us. We may feel unconsciously loyal to a mother, father, grandparent, ancestor, or excluded one without knowing why. These blind loyalties can show up as guilt when life begins to go well, difficulty receiving, emotional heaviness, fear of being seen, relationship patterns, money patterns, or a deep sense of not belonging.

THE WORK

In family system work, there is an order to belonging.

Parents come before children. Grandparents come before parents. Those who were excluded, forgotten, miscarried, adopted out, shamed, lost young, or not spoken of still belong. When someone is pushed out of the story, another family member may unconsciously carry something on their behalf.

Lineage Day gently explores where we may be out of place in the family field, and what it means to return to our own place in life.

Not above our parents.

Not beneath what came before.

Not carrying for those who came earlier.

But standing in our own place, with respect for the lives and destinies of others.

This day may include reflection, gentle family system exploration, somatic awareness, guided process, Rebirthing Breathwork, and supported integration.

The Caoin, the Irish keen, may also come through on the day, or it may not. It is never forced, performed, or added as a technique. If grief, voice, sound, or ancestral lament naturally rises within the field, it will be met with reverence and care. Some Lineage Days may include no Caoin at all. We follow what is present, not what is planned.

Rebirthing Breathwork supports this work by helping us return to the body, soften old survival imprints, and listen beneath the mind to what the breath, nervous system, and emotional body may be carrying.

We may also explore what is carried from birth. The atmosphere around conception, gestation, birth, and early bonding can leave deep impressions in the body.

This work is not about blame.

It is not about analysing the family.

It is not about forcing emotional release.

It is about gently listening to what lives in the body, the breath, and the family field.

It is about honouring those who came before while learning to take our own place in life.

For example, if a grandparent dies while we are in the womb, the mother may be carrying grief as the baby is forming. The foetus may not know the story, but the body may still be shaped by the atmosphere of loss, absence, or emotional withdrawal.
