At the edge of the year, when the light thins and the world turns inward, we gather.

Sacred Steps is a seven-day pilgrimage into the ancestral heart of Ireland - held in the wild, elemental landscapes of County Kerry, where mountain, ocean, myth, and memory still move together.

We arrive at Samhain -
the ancient threshold between harvest and winter,
between the living and the dead,
between who we have been and who we are becoming.

This is the season when the veils are thin.

When the ancestors draw close.

When the land remembers us.

And slowly, through breath, ritual, walking, voice, grief, stillness, and story, something ancient within us begins to remember too.

Not as history.

Here, darkness is not something to fear.

It is a womb.

A remembering.

A return to what has always existed beneath the noise of modern life.

We dwell simply — in stone cottages overlooking the Atlantic, with turf fires burning and the rhythm of the land setting the pace.

Time slows here. Silence becomes a companion. Stories surface beside candlelight and sea mist.

This is a return to an older rhythm — where land and lineage are inseparable, where belonging is felt in the body, where the nervous system softens enough to listen again.

We walk in pilgrimage to the Paps of Anu — ancient mountains shaped like the breasts of the Great Mother. At their feet lies The City of Shrone, a ceremonial landscape of stone and memory.

Here, we walk softly. Listening. Remembering what it means to belong to the land rather than stand separate from it.

We journey into the lands of Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Fianna — through mountain mist, ancient pathways, and living story.

At Coomasaharn Lake and Seeffin Mountain, we enter landscapes shaped by myth, vision, and memory. Ancient markings remain etched in stone. The stories still live here.

And through body, breath, ritual, and place, this becomes not only something we learn — but something we experience directly.

At dusk on the River Laune, we enter Samhain through fire and prayer. Letters are written to the ancestors — of grief, gratitude, release, and remembrance.

Placed into the White Hare, they are carried through flame across the thinning veil.

This is a ceremonial crossing. A meeting between worlds. A moment to honour what has shaped us and what we are ready to lay down.

This journey works gently — through presence rather than force.
